Music producer and former Singapore Idol judge Ken Lim received a 13-month jail term for molesting a 25-year-old woman during a 2021 meeting at Hype Records. He was convicted in September after trial evidence showed he made suggestive remarks across multiple encounters before touching the victim during their third meeting.

On the same day as sentencing, prosecutors withdrew five other charges involving three women. The court granted a discharge amounting to an acquittal for those charges. A gag order protects the victim’s identity. Lim cannot be re-charged for the withdrawn offences.
