Singapore’s Westpoint Transit Now Receives 1,292 Applications for 10 Bus Driver Positions

In an effort to attract new bus drivers, Singaporean transport company Westpoint Transit Pte Ltd posted a job ad in December 2023, offering an enticing starting monthly salary of SGD5,000 (RM17,656.47) and a SGD10,000 (RM35,312.94) sign-on bonus. 

Singapore’s Westpoint Transit receiving thousands of applications 

The company aims to recruit a younger demographic, targeting 30 new drivers by the end of 2024. Applicants face no nationality restrictions but must have one year of relevant experience, a valid Class 4 driving license, and a vocational license. 

The recruitment campaign, which started on January 15, received an unexpectedly high response, with 1,292 applications for 10 bus driver positions within a week.
