A Singaporean woman, who employed an Indonesian maid for over 13 years, recently faced a crisis when her Indonesian maid fell seriously ill. Rushed to the hospital, the maidi was diagnosed with a 2.9cm brain tumour, requiring surgery, electrotherapy, and chemotherapy.

The treatment cost reached $130,000 (RM452,000), with insurance covering $60,000 (RM215,000). Despite the financial burden, the Singaporean woman hired a Myanmarese maid to assist her Indonesian maid and continued paying her salary.
She even flew the maid’s brother and husband to Singapore for emotional support. Her generosity reflects her Christian values and commitment to compassion.
