Recently, a Singaporean man was accused of breaking a shelf in a Johor Bahru store and netizens are angry at the man. Furthermore, some state that Malaysians should step up and not let people who misbehave in public. But the man’s defense is that there is no signage of not letting people sit on it.

Netizens state that there are people like that from every country. Some suggest that our neighboring country should propose a law that their people can’t be rude when they’re overseas. However, this is obviously a joke, and not all tourists from Singapore are causing problems in Malaysia.
Others state that they are embarrassed to see incidents like this happening. Regardless, it appears that we are not as welcoming to foreigners than we think we are. There are surely plenty of us making similar mistakes when we travel overseas.
