MELBOURNE – Singaporean trainee doctor Ryan Cho, 28, is facing 910 charges after allegedly filming more than 450 colleagues in staff showers and toilets at three Melbourne hospitals. Cho, whose medical registration was suspended in 2025, appeared briefly at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Feb 27.

Magistrate Michelle Mykytowycz adjourned proceedings until May 22 to allow defence and prosecution time to address the extensive charges. Cho was arrested in July 2025 after a recording device was found at Austin Hospital. He had moved to Australia in 2018 to study medicine and became a permanent resident in April 2025.
