Siti Bainun Ahd Razali, founder of Rumah Bonda, has withdrawn her appeal against the High Court’s decision to reject her application to suspend her 12-year prison sentence for neglecting and abusing a Down syndrome teenager named Bella three years ago.

Siti Bainun withdraws appeal
Lawyer Fatin Syaza Irdina Muhamad Eddin Syazri informed the Court of Appeal that the accused 32, instructed the withdrawal and plans to file a new application for a sentence delay. Deputy Public Prosecutor Datin Asmah Musa did not object, and the judges dismissed the appeal. Siti Bainun had been sentenced for neglect and abuse, causing Bella physical and emotional harm in 2021.
