Furthermore, some users state that snow is quite literally unfiltered water. These users say that most people would not drink water from a lake, the same should be reflected in snow as well.

Netizens thought that not eating snow should be something of a common sense. Others speculate that it could be the flu rather than snow. This is due to the fact that cooler weather may lead someone to get sick.
Europeans and Americans generally do not eat snow. We would see them doing that more often if they do.
