New: The Son of a leader from GISB was also arrested at Bukit Kayu Hitam border

In a major operation at the Bukit Kayu Hitam border, five men, including the son of a leader from GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd, were arrested by authorities. The arrest, made during Op Global, occurred when two vehicles bearing the GISBH logo were detected heading towards Thailand. Police, with assistance from Kedah’s Criminal Investigation Department, intercepted the vehicles and detained the men, aged between 28 and 41. Early interrogation and documentation are underway. This follows earlier reports of abuse linked to a welfare home under an Islamic products company, including severe punishments like burning hands and sexual misconduct.
