Malaysia, South Korea to Boost Ties in Smart Transport and Infrastructure

Malaysia and South Korea are strengthening bilateral cooperation in road development, construction technology, and intelligent transport systems (ITS), said Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi. During a meeting with South Korean Minister Park Sang Woo, both parties discussed finalising an MoU by October’s ASEAN-Republic of Korea Summit.

The collaboration aims to enhance technology transfer, capacity building, and sustainable infrastructure aligned with Malaysia’s ITS Roadmap 2030. Nanta also highlighted the success of a joint seminar involving over 130 participants. He expressed appreciation for South Korea’s continued support and affirmed Malaysia’s commitment to deepening mutually beneficial partnerships with the country.
