The government will soon present an interim report on the separation of powers between the Attorney General (AG) and Public Prosecutor (PP) to the Cabinet, according to Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil. Empirical studies conducted in Canada, Australia, and the UK, along with local and international consultations, form the foundation of this reform. Engagement sessions with stakeholders are planned for 2025. The move aligns with gradual reforms announced earlier by Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.
