KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Football League (MFL) and clubs must act swiftly to prevent the Malaysia Super League from collapsing amid financial woes, warned local sports observer Mohd Sadek Mustaffa. With Perak FC’s withdrawal and potential exits by Kedah and Sri Pahang, Sadek urged MFL to introduce fair policies and new football strategies to revive fan interest and secure sponsorships. He advised clubs to assess financial capabilities before signing players, avoiding JDT’s spending model. The First Instance Body will confirm participating teams this Wednesday. Sadek proposed robust financial planning to ensure sustainability.
