Residents named the director-general of the Nadma, the minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, the director-general of the Malaysian Meteorological Department, the minister of environment and water, the director-general of the Department of Irrigation and Drainage, the Shah Alam City Council, KDEB Waste Management, Tenaga Nasional, the Selangor state government, and the government of Malaysia.
The residents are suing the ten defendants jointly and individually for RM3,767,148.51 in special damages, general damages to be determined by the High Court, and aggravated damages.
