On April 25, 2025, renowned Tamil actor and singer Sivakumar Jayabalan, aged 48, and his 76-year-old mother were found dead at a condominium in Taman Desa Petaling, Cheras. Cheras police chief ACP Aidil Bolhassan reported that initial investigations suggest they fell from the 11th floor around 12:35 pm. Their bodies were sent to Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Cheras Hospital for post-mortem examinations. No evidence of foul play has been found, but further investigations are ongoing. The police urge anyone with information to contact the nearest station to aid the investigation.
