TAPAH, June 9, 2025 — Tapah MIC division chief S Krishna Rao rebuked Perak Exco A Sivanesan for his arrogance and accusations against MIC deputy president Datuk Seri M Saravanan in a heated temple guidelines dispute. Rao questioned Sivanesan’s record, asking if he resolved Perak’s temple issues since 2022. Saravanan’s Tamil poem criticized Sivanesan’s new guidelines, prompting the exco to dismiss it as toilet-worthy. Rao highlighted Saravanan’s advocacy for the Sivan Tapah Hospital Temple since 2011. MIC’s Datuk R Thinalan urged Sivanesan to shed his ego, engage temple committees, and stop criminalizing worship sites.
