KUALA TERENGGANU – Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar has claimed he is under Travel Control Office (TCO) surveillance, including phone tapping, by the government since mid-2024. The PAS vice-president alleged this portrays him as a dangerous criminal or persona non grata, complicating his travel, even to Sabah and Sarawak. He expressed disappointment, asserting it’s a political tool to gather opposition intel and suppress dissent, despite no proven wrongdoing. Ahmad Samsuri, who confirmed the monitoring through undisclosed tests, said another opposition figure faces similar scrutiny. He vowed not to stay silent, decrying the misuse of government resources as unjust.
