JITRA – A 60-year-old Thai van driver has been arrested for allegedly causing the death of a 22-year-old female motorcyclist at Napoh traffic lights on Thursday night. The incident involved a Toyota Hiace van and a Modenas motorcycle. Preliminary investigations indicate the van driver failed to stop at a red light, colliding with the motorcycle coming from the left junction.

Van Driver Arrested

The motorcyclist, a food stall assistant, died at the scene from severe injuries. Her body was sent to Jitra Hospital’s forensic unit for autopsy. The driver, uninjured, tested negative for drugs and is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act.
