Azalina Othman, the Umno member, posted what she calls are details of a bill that should prevent MPs from defecting from their parties after elections.
Malaysia is suffering from such frogging as it is popular known and Umno is the biggest victim together with the Keadilan, Anwar Ibrahim’s party.
The documents, see below in PDF, says this will prevent party Hopping as in preventing MPs from jumping with the seat from one party to another.
Why is frogging an unprofessional act? It disturbs the balance of power of elected representatives in the Dewan Rakyat who make laws, the continuity of Government and Parliamentary Democracy.
