A recent tweet that has gotten viral mentioned that there’s a new Touch n Go (TnG) card that finally would allow users to top up from their smartphones. Topping up your TnG card at highways, train and petrol stations will be a thing of the past now.
This is possible due to the new cards having an NFT chip in them, where the chip and your smartphone would communicate with each other for the cash transfer. Currently the card is not officially released yet and the app is yet to be updated for the feature.
This new feature is especially helpful for users who wouldn’t have the time to find the nearest reload kiosk (that is usually overcrowded during rush-hour and sparsely available). This also would help solve the issue of drivers that aren’t able to use their debit cards as their parking payment method.
