ISKANDAR PUTERI – Three crew members died and three others were injured after a container fire broke out aboard the MSC Kyparissia at the Port of Tanjung Pelepas. The incident occurred around 12.23pm during unloading operations in Block 5 of the vessel.

The victims included Malaysians, Filipinos, and a British national. Firefighting efforts involved PTP and Johor Fire and Rescue teams using tugboats and specialized vehicles. The injured were taken to Gleneagles Hospital Iskandar Puteri.
