A viral story on TikTok was about how a customer at a boutique in I-City Shah Alam mall accidentally broke a sofa. The customer was plus sized, and the store owner immediately blamed the individual. But, it was uncovered that the sofa was allegedly flimsy to begin with.
TikToker accidentally breaking sofa by sitting on it
The store owner demanded the individual to compensate her. However, it appears that TikTokers themselves are split between the situation. Some wrote that the customer broke it hence they’d have to pay for it. But, others state that the shop should have provided a better equipped couch.
Regardless, the TikToker states that the police officers say that it is not their fault as it is considered as a public facility. They then reversed the situation and state that the customer should be the one to file a report as the furniture could’ve injured them.
