Uniqlo, the Japanese fast-fashion retailer, has increased its wages for its employees. Now their salary starts at RM2,400 a month. However, a netizen commented that Uniqlo prefers hiring pretty people, and will immediately reject you if you don’t make the cut.
Nevertheless, this is just an accusation from some people since their real requirements are that you have experience in retail and that you have passed your bachelor’s degree with a 2.8 GPA. Furthermore, speaking fluent English and Bahasa is a must as well. This requirement is for their Store Manager position, which has higher pay.
Some were also complaining that in certain Uniqlo locations they’d need to work 12 hours a day as there is a lack of staff. Another requirement to work at Uniqlo is the flexibility to relocate to another store location if needed. Would you take this chance to work for them?
