A clerk died after the motorcycle he was riding skidded before colliding with a trailer on Jalan Staponal-Batu Jong yesterday.
In the incident at about 9.30 in the morning, the victim, Lai Chen Meng, 41, died at the scene of the incident after suffering severe head injuries, said Kuala Krai District Police Chief, Superintendent Suzaimi Mohamed who added that it came into collision with a Volvo type trailer driven by a 36-year-old man taht was traveling from a factory to Port Klang, Selangor.

The motorcycle ridden by the victim coming from the opposite direction is believed to have entered the opposite lane. “The incident caused Chen Meng, (the victim) motorcycle to collide with the trailer. The victim was confirmed dead at the scene of the incident after severe head injuries.
