The workweek for government entities in the United Arab Emirates would start on Monday and end on Friday at 12 noon before Muslim prayers saying that this would improve the work-life balance for employees.

Weekends will not be from Friday to Saturday, no more as the Arab nation moves away from the Islamic calendar in which Friday is a public holiday or the start of the weekend.

The news is creating a ripple effect across Malaysia with people sharing it on WhatsApp groups making us wonder if it is really breaking international news?
