Umno supreme council member Puad Zarkashi said PAS’ credibility would be affected if its “Turun Anwar” rally tomorrow fails to attract at least 500,000 participants. He claimed PAS is anxious, not about Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim resigning, but about achieving their turnout target since 90% of attendees would be PAS members. PAS MP Shahidan Kassim earlier described the rally as the “mother of all rallies,” predicting up to 500,000 attendees, while Bersatu’s Hamzah Zainudin estimated a million. However, police expect only 10,000-15,000. Puad added the rally’s success depends on Umno’s participation, as seen in the 2018 anti-Icerd rally.
