UMNO will not entertain any motion urging the party to exit the Unity Government during its General Assembly (PAU) 2025 from January 14-17. Secretary-General Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki confirmed none of the 662 submitted motions addressed the issue, emphasising UMNO’s central role in the government while upholding tradition by not blocking state-level proposals.
Exit Motions
The assembly, held at Menara Dato’ Onn, will feature 6,412 delegates including Wanita UMNO (1,995), Pemuda (1,173) and Puteri (1,146). The most popular motions demand full justice and pardon for former PM Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. No invitations were extended to coalition partners, allowing open internal discussions. Perak led in motion submissions, followed by Johor and Selangor.
