KUALA LUMPUR: Umno will launch a school of politics early next year, open to all Malaysians, announced secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki. The initiative aims to provide foundational knowledge on nationhood, the Federal Constitution, and democracy, fostering leadership among youth. This follows Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s earlier plans for a political school, including a Barisan Nasional training center in Janda Baik. The party’s Supreme Council also reviewed the unity government’s progress, pledging to strengthen ties with coalition partners. Additionally, Umno Veterans Club chairman Othman Desa was appointed to the Supreme Council, honoring the club’s contribution to the party’s growth. But will they also plant, ‘free Najib’ as part of the school idealogy?
