KOTA KINABALU, Nov 11 — The United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (Upko) has announced its withdrawal from Pakatan Harapan (PH), citing widening differences over Sabah’s constitutional and administrative rights. The decision followed a special Supreme Council meeting that also endorsed party president Ewon Benedick’s resignation from the federal cabinet.

Upko said disagreements with PH’s national leaders centered on the 40 per cent revenue entitlement, Sabah-Sarawak parliamentary representation, and PH Sabah’s autonomy. The party also expressed frustration over its reduced role within the coalition despite being endorsed as PH Sabah’s chair.
