Kuala Lumpur: Volunteers are needed for Klang Valley COVID-19 crisis says the Health Ministry.
An online registration form which is available in both Malay and English indicates that volunteers must work for a minimum period of seven days.
In a statement yesterday, Greater Klang Valley Special Task Force commander Dr Chong Chee Kheong said volunteer help is needed for certain tasks. The volunteers can be from Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
The tasks are as follows:
- Verifying positive cases through telephone calls;
- Contact tracing through telephone calls;
- Data management and data entry using Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word;
- Helping with administrative tasks;
- Helping healthcare workers at healthcare facilities by observing and providing patients non-clinical care in the wards; and
- Managing Covid-19 bodies at the Forensic Department.
Volunteers must declare their vaccination status and state when they can begin volunteering and whether they want a remuneration or not.
