A netizen posted a screenshot of her 9 year old niece’s Whatsapp group chat showing that she was cyberbullied by her so-called ‘friends’. When this issue was brought up to her teacher, they played it down and mentioned that kids will be kids.
Later on, it is found out that the 9 year old child was scolded by her teacher for even bringing this issue up to her parents. She came home from school crying as her teacher told her off for making a big deal over something small. The original poster then mentioned that this is probably why there are more and more children suffering from depression.
Other netizens mentioned that this is serious, as physical bullying starts from cyber bullying. Many are showing their concerns for our next generation as back in the day, we would never fight with each other to such an extent. Nowadays however, kids are willing to say whatever they please to each other, especially during fights.
