Foreign Affairs Minister Saifuddin Abdullah had a telephone conversation with the Chinese counterpart State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi yesterday.
Both Ministers discussed regional and international issues, including the latest developments in the South China Sea. But the release stopped short of informing the media what transpired on the issue between both men.
Chinese survey ship, the Da Yang Hao, is now operating in an area that runs through the EEZs of three countries: Brunei, Malaysia and the Philippines. None of the countries, lesser still Malaysia, has made any public comment about the Da Yang Hao.
