THE Malaysian Armed Forces sprang into action to save flood victims after becoming frustrated while waiting for instructions from the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) says Free Malaysia Today, adding both NADMA and the Selangor state gov were hesitant to involve military personnel in relief efforts.
“But it came to a point where the Defence Ministry (MINDEF) decided ‘to hell with NADMA’ because floodwaters were rising and there was no point in waiting any longer,” a source told FMT.
As a result, shortly after Friday prayers, the Armed Forces headed to flooded areas to provide relief.
