It was pointed out by a netizen that starting out as a lawyer in Malaysia, you’d get RM1,200 for pupilage remuneration. Apparently senior lawyers aren’t too happy with that amount being paid to the juniors. A pupilage for lawyers is for juniors to have more work experience, working closely under a senior.
Netizens compared the remunerations to cleaners in Malaysia getting a higher pay then them. Another netizen mentioned that he knows a dentist that makes roughly RM500k a year and claimed to feel the pinch when paying their receptionist RM200 more with the recent minimum wage increase.
Many claim that RM1,500 a month alone isn’t enough as an individual to earn, especially with the rising cost of living in the Klang Valley. Some claim that stingy employers should get LHDN to be called to their offices as they can check how much taxes are being paid to the government, then only maybe they might increase the wages a little.
