It may be just a political ploy to get voters at Padang Serai to vote for PN hoping it will take power soon but Arau MP Shahidan Kassim claims there are plans to bring down Anwar’s gov’t and that PN will soon come back to power. A report in local portals says Shahidan commented that the government will not last long.
However, an Umno man says Shahidan will fail in his attempts to plot against the Anwar Ibrahim government and he explains why in a media statement.
10 Umno MPs
“PN’s growing confidence that it has a strong enough majority to govern the country due to the defection of a number of BN legislators (10 Umno MPs) is not going to happen with the Anti-Lompat Act,” says Datuk Nik Dir Nik Wan Ku, the Information Chief of UMNO Terengganu.
He says PN still believe they can reverse the course but the anti-frog laws are now fully in action and will stop them from achieving this goal. The 10 MPs apparently have to quit as Parliamentarians and leave Umno.
