CNN Indonesia says a couple was unable to obtain a birth certificate for their child because the name is too long to fit in official documents.
The full name of their child: Rangga Madhipa Sutra Jiwa Cordosega Akre Askhala Mughal Ilkhanat Akbar Sahara Pi-Thariq Ziyad Syaifudin Quthuz Khoshala Sura Talenta is ‘too long’ says the authorities.
Though the family calls him Cordo most of the time, the father, Akbar and mother Suci Nur Aiysiah believes the son’s name has something to do with the history of Islamic civilization.
The name is made up of 19 words and 115 letters and was the result of discussions with his uncle Mujoko Zahid, a cultural figure.
