KUALA LUMPUR: A woman claims that she was assaulted by her actor boyfriend who is 37 years old, saying he punched her in the left eye and body at 3.40am yesterday. Petaling Jaya police said the woman, aged 25, filed the report at 6.55pm yesterday and a preliminary investigation found that the victim went out with her sister before being contacted and scolded by the suspect.

The woman met her boyfriend at Ara Damansara, where the suspect is said to have beaten her in his car. They had been in a relationship for six months, the police say in a statement today.
