Woman Abused and Kicked Out on Chinese New Year’s Eve Seeks Help

A Malaysian woman faced a heartbreaking ordeal on Chinese New Year’s Eve after her husband allegedly assaulted her and forced her out of their marital home in Puchong. 

Woman Kicked Out on Chinese New Year

Left stranded and fearful, she sought help from philanthropist Kuan Chee Heng, better known as Uncle Kentang. The woman, who holds a diploma in accounting and has five years’ work experience, filed a police report and is now searching for housing and employment. 

Uncle Kentang provided her temporary shelter, financial aid of RM650, and new clothes, while pledging to place her in one of his RM1 homes. His kindness offered hope during her darkest hour.
