A woman in the province of Papua, Indonesia was burned alive by a crowd after she was accused of kidnapping children, an Indonesian news site says, adding that the incident happened in Kota Sorong, Southwest Papua at 7 am (local time).

A video of the incident was recorded by residents. The middle-aged woman who is said to suffer from mental disorders is accused of being a child abductor. At the time of the incident, a group of residents gathered and beat the woman until she was injured.

They then undressed the victim and sprinkled petrol all over her body before lighting her up. Some residents who were around the scene of the incident tried to help the victim by pouring water to extinguish the burning fire on the victim’s body.
