A viral video shows a woman in Nigeria living in poverty to which many Malaysians have expressed their sympathies towards. The video shows that the woman’s house is flooded while she talks about her life. It is revealed that she makes only RM30 a month and pays RM5 for her home every month.

Furthermore, netizens are stating that looking at people who are in poverty would generally make anyone sympathize with them. They state that we should help everyone regardless of their gender, race and religion as we are all humans.
Others asked what 1000 Naira can do in Nigeria, which is what the woman is paying for rent (RM5). Netizens responded with a sarcastic remark stating that one could literally rent a house for a month there. Regardless, we should be grateful for our lives and that our country is still doing relatively well.
