Woman Who Can’t Lend Money to Friend Called “Broke”

1 min read

A Threads post went viral after a woman posted a screenshot of a conversation she had with another person. It seems that this individual wants a quick loan from her, and she responded by saying she has only RM9.99. The individual then called her “miskin” which means “poor” in Malay.

It seems that this is a common thing that’s happening in Malaysia. People ask for quick loans from friends and relatives, and when the friend or relative does not have the money, they’re called “broke.” Many find this behavior to be severely ironic, as the individual is the one asking for a loan to begin with.

Others state that this individual should take a look in the mirror for calling someone else “broke.” Regardless, it is up to you if you’d want to loan out your hard earned money to someone as there is a chance you won’t even get it back.
