A woman in her early 20s was scammed while trying to purchase Labubu dolls from an Instagram seller. She had previously bought a doll successfully and trusted the seller due to positive reviews.

Her first purchase went smoothly, but when she placed a second, larger order, the seller asked for payment in five instalments to different accounts. She transferred around RM20,000 but received no delivery update and was later blocked by the seller. It’s unclear if she was the only victim.
