A zoo in China has drawn attention for selling “medicated tiger urine” from Siberian tigers at 50 yuan (RM30) per 250-gram bottle. A visitor shared a photo on social media, showing the product marketed as a remedy for rheumatic diseases and chronic inflammation. 

Zoo Sells Controversial “Medicated Tiger Urine”

The zoo staff claimed the urine is collected from disposal containers and sold two bottles daily. However, a pharmacist stated that tiger urine lacks recognized health benefits and urged proper medical treatments. 

Questions were raised about the zoo’s right to sell such products without regulatory approval, though the zoo insisted it has a business license.
