163 Malaysians Evacuated From West Asia Conflict Zone Return Home

A total of 163 Malaysians stranded in several West Asian countries have safely returned home following a government evacuation operation. The group arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on a specially chartered Malaysia Airlines flight from Jeddah.

First Evacuation Flight Brings Malaysians Safely Back To KLIA

The passengers included Malaysian Umrah pilgrims in Saudi Arabia and citizens who had been in Qatar, Jordan and Syria when flight disruptions and airspace closures occurred due to regional tensions.

The evacuation flight also carried seven non-citizen family members including Thai, Indonesian and Moroccan nationals. Authorities said the operation was coordinated by the Foreign Ministry together with several government agencies to ensure the safe return of affected Malaysians.
