KLANG — A 28-year-old man, R Saktygaanapathy, was charged with murder over the death of delivery rider Amirul Hafiz Omar. He did not enter a plea, as murder cases fall under the High Court’s jurisdiction. The charge carries either the death penalty or 30–40 years in prison, plus whipping if no death sentence is imposed.

He also pleaded guilty to a drug charge involving benzodiazepine and THC. Amirul was killed Sunday in a crash while buying a mathematics book for his child. His widow, Nor Nadia Abdul Majid, declared: “I want a life to be repaid with a life.”
