2-Year-Old Baby in Coma After Being Attacked by 5 Dogs, Netizens Call for Animal Control 

A two‑year‑old girl, Nur Haira Watikah Mohammad Hamizi, is in critical condition after being mauled by five stray dogs outside her grandmother’s home in Kampung Tambak, Sungai Kelambu, Batu Pahat. 

The 7am attack left her with severe head and facial injuries. Her grandmother, Darlinda Darlis, discovered the assault and, with her son, rescued the child before rushing her to Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital.

Placed in an induced coma, she was later transferred to Sultanah Aminah Hospital due to the severity of her injuries.

In lieu of the Rocky case, social media users are asking dog lovers to pick up these stray dogs and care for them. If animal control is capturing these stray dogs, some may get upset. Many are uncomfortable hearing that babies are being attacked by strays.

Some claim that these wild dogs were bred for hunting wild boards and were subsequently abandoned by their owners. These users are saying that these owners would need to brace for the consequences of their actions.
