The Attorney General’s office today affirms that the incumbent prime minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin still commands a majority in Parliament.
In a statement, the Idrus Harun says it is not clear that Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has lost the confidence of a majority of MPs.
The AG says UMNO president Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi’s statement did not show the PM has lost majority.
The statement says Muhyiddin is still PM and Muhyiddin and the ministers would still continue to carry out their tasks.

Yesterday, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced that his party was withdrawing support for Muhyiddin as the prime minister.
