A live video on YouTube from Malaysia Gazette shows a large number of people lining up at the Melawati Stadium, Shah Alam.
The video says they are at the Covid-19 Assessment Center (CAC) Malawati Stadium. Most of the people are believed to be positive for Covid-19.
Another video on WhatsApp says there are at least 4000 people at the centre and says they are COVID-19 positive. A person speaking on loudspeaker in the WhatsApp video says the usual number of arrivals at the stadium was 1000 plus. But today 4000 people came.
The Malaysia Gazette live video says there are children and babies among the infected. On the loudspeaker, they are also saying there are many emergency cases today.
A TV3 video also shows the situation at the stadium. A reporter in the TV3 video is heard saying she is witnessing health workers rushing a person for an emergency.
Malaysia recorded a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases lately but today it dipped by 500 resulting in a total of 8574 cases.
