A surge of the COVID-19 is making it difficult for non-COVID-19 infected patients to get admitted or treated at local hospitals, says The Jakarta Post.
The paper says some patients were refused care to patients with accident injury or other ailments. Some citizens from Jakarta says they went to five establishments and were rejected because of a surge in COVID cases.
“We went to around five hospitals on June 26, all of which rejected [to treat] my mother because they were at full capacity with COVID-19 patients,” a citizen told The Jakarta Post on Tuesday.
