1 min read

Badminton, Malaysia’s most successful Olympic sport, has the potential to deliver a gold medal.

Malaysia’s badminton hopes include Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying, a 2016 Rio silver medallist in mixed doubles, and Lee Zii Jia, the All England winner in men’s singles.

The Tokyo Olympic Games will take place from July 23 to August 8, 2020.

The event, which was originally slated to take place from July 24 to August 9, 2020, was postponed to March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It will now be held largely behind closed doors, with no public spectators allowed under the state of emergency.

The Tokyo Games will feature 339 gold medals. More than 11,000 athletes and 206 nations are expected to participate.
