Kuala Lumpur: Clementi 448 Market and Food Centre are now the new cluster for COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

The market is ordered to shut down by the authorities after they found a cluster of 22 COVID-19 cases there.

With a rise in cases, Singapore returns to Phase 2 Heightened Alert.

Clementi market is the latest in a series of markets linked to infections linked to Jurong Fishery Port, say news reports.

Straits Times say the Boon Lay Place Food Village will be closed after seven Covid-19 cases were detected there.

They are either from people who work there or those who visited the hawker centre.

560 cases are now linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster.

The Marina Bay Sands casino cluster now has 15 cases. The casino is closed to the public from Thursday to Aug 5.
