Police Steamroll Bitcoin Machines

Kuala Lumpur: More than 1000 seized Bitcoin machines got steamrolled by the police in Malaysia.

The bitcoin-mining machines were seized in raids but ended up getting crushed by a steamroller, says AFP.

If one considers the job these money-making machines does, they would say it is a waste to crush them.

The incident took place in Miri in the car park of a police station.

Worth an estimated 5.3 million ringgit the machines were seized in crackdowns between February and April.

Eight people were arrested.

Authorities accused them of ‘stealing’ over RM8 million worth of electricity to power the energy-hungry computers.
